Ansaldo STS (STS.MI) si è aggiudicata un contratto per l'automazione di gran parte della ferrovia di 1.300 Km utilizzata per il trasporto del minerale ferroso da Rio Tinto nella regione Pilbara dell'Australia occidentale. Il valore del contratto per Ansaldo STS è pari a 103 milioni di Euro, e sarà la prima volta che la tecnologia "driverless" ATO (Automatic Train Operation) viene impiegata nell'ambito di un sistema ferroviario di trasporto pesante su vasta scala.

Eni SpA said Monday it has made a new oil discovery in the Timor Sea, in an area jointly administered by Timor-Leste and Australia.
